Sungold

Sungold is an F1 hybrid cherry tomato introduced by the Japanese seed house Tokita and now one of the most beloved cherry tomatoes among home gardeners worldwide. It bears long trusses of small, tangerine-orange fruit that ripen early and keep coming until frost. Renowned for its exceptional sweetness and tropical, fruity notes, it is often the first tomato eaten in the garden. The indeterminate vines are vigorous and extremely productive, though the thin-skinned fruit is prone to cracking if picked late. Sungold has become a farmers-market favorite and a gateway tomato for children and new gardeners because of its candy-like taste.
