Wurtz, sold as Little Cado, is the only true dwarf avocado, introduced in 1948 from a chance seedling found by Roy Wertz in Encinitas, California. A Mexican by Guatemalan hybrid, it forms a small, weeping, densely leafed tree ideal for small yards and large containers, and it bears fruit young.
