About CIM-Samriddhi

CIM-Samriddhi is a CSIR-CIMAP vetiver selection developed as V-18 (Selection 23) for root-derived essential oil. Its 2017 breeder registration describes broad, dark green leaves and a yellow-green inflorescence. The breeders reported 35 kg of oil per hectare, compared with 25 kg per hectare for CIM-Vriddhi in their comparison, and an oil profile containing about 31% khusilal and 19% khusol. These are reported breeding results, not guaranteed yields; the source recommends cultivation in the north Indian plains and southern India.
