Prateek

Prateek is a grass pea cultivar developed by Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya in India. IRRI reports its use after wet-season rice in Bolangir, Odisha, where it was selected for adaptation to local conditions and resilience under water stress and erratic rainfall. It is an improved low-ODAP cultivar, rather than a toxin-free grass pea; the species' existing consumption cautions still apply. These observations concern an Indian rice-fallow production system and do not establish performance in Florida.
