Potomac is a fire-blight-resistant dessert pear from the USDA and Ohio State (1993), a Moonglow by Anjou cross bred essentially as a disease-resistant replacement for Anjou. Its glossy light-green skin carries a little russet and red blush over aromatic, buttery, very juicy flesh. A dependable, blight-tough backyard pear.
