Pinkerton
Persea americana
Pinkerton is a Hass by Rincon hybrid selected by grower J. Pinkerton in the 1960s, valued for rich Hass-like flavor, high oil content, and an unusually small seed that leaves more flesh per fruit. Its green-ripening, easy-peeling fruit and heavy, early crops on a manageable tree have made it a backyard favorite, and it is notably heat-tolerant.
