About CIM-Samarth
CIM-Samarth is a patchouli cultivar developed by CSIR-CIMAP for aromatic herb and essential-oil production. The institute records its release in 2005 and describes faster regeneration as a distinguishing feature in its cultivar reference. It has also been used in field research on patchouli production in the semi-arid tropical conditions of Hyderabad, India; results from those trials depend on the growing conditions and treatments used.
