'Orange Crush' is a grafted jackfruit cultivar that has become one of the most widely offered selections in the Florida specialty nursery trade, stocked by Sow Exotic, Everglades Farm and Top Tropicals among others. Its defining combination is dark orange, extra-crunchy flesh with unusually low latex, set inside a clean green rind, which makes it both a good eating fruit and an easy one to break down in the kitchen. Nursery descriptions consistently put fruit weight around 20 lb and describe a strongly tropical flavour with mango, banana and bubblegum notes rather than the earthy register of the Malaysian J-series. Unlike the Australian, Thai and Malaysian cultivars in the Fairchild evaluation, its breeding origin is not documented in the horticultural literature; it is known through the nursery trade rather than through a published release.
