Molix is a Mexican cultivar that Pine Island Nursery describes as a close relative in style to Hasya, similar in size and football shape but darker on the outside and with less red in the flesh. UF/IFAS rates its quality as very good to excellent and, importantly, gives it a very good yield rating, which is a step above Hasya's merely good yield. Fruit runs 5 to 13 ounces with smooth, brownish-red pulp. Its narrow February-to-April season makes it a late-winter to early-spring cultivar that pairs naturally with Morena, which ripens at the same time.
