Sundance

Sundance is a compact selection of Mexican sunflower, Tithonia rotundifolia. Steven Still's Ohio State ornamental-annual teaching guide describes it as 24-36 inches tall, shorter than the typical species. It offers an option for gardeners seeking Mexican sunflower on a smaller scale. The same guide describes the species as a sun-loving annual used in borders and for cut flowers, able to continue flowering through hot, dry conditions. The stated height is the guide's cultivar description rather than a guarantee under all growing conditions.
