About Mulgoba

Malgova (Mulgoba) is a very important mango variety in Madras and Mysore and different parts of South India. It was introduced to Florida in 1889 from India and first fruited in West Palm Beach. It descended from a grafted tree shipped from Bombay and fostered many offspring along the southeastern coast of Florida and in Cuba and Puerto Rico, though it proved very susceptible to anthracnose in Florida's climate.
