About Tattoo Blueberry
Tattoo Blueberry is a Catharanthus roseus cultivar from PanAmerican Seed, designated PAS1357700. The breeder recommends its distinctive colour for the blue component of red, white and blue plant combinations. Well-branched plants have an upright, mounded habit and reach 10-14 inches (25-36 cm) tall and 6-8 inches (15-20 cm) wide, with flowering from late spring through summer. Grow in sun; the breeder reports strong performance in heat. Warm conditions with moderate light give the clearest flower-colour contrast. Stronger light and higher temperatures lighten the flowers, while cool, low-light conditions make them darker and more purple. Commercial production takes a five-week plug stage followed by five to six weeks from transplant to finish; this is not a harvest-maturity figure.
