Awadh Jamvant is the Jamun selection CISH J-37 from ICAR-CISH in Lucknow, India. Its deep-purple, oblong fruits grow in large bunches. The breeder reports average fruit weights of 18–21 g and soluble solids of 16.4 degrees Brix, and lists the variety for fresh eating and processing.
