Giombo

Giombo is a large astringent persimmon regarded as a connoisseur choice, offering Saijo-like quality in a much bigger, four to five inch fruit. The thin-skinned, light translucent-orange fruit has sweet, juicy jelly flesh once fully ripe. The tree leafs out early, which can make it prone to spring freeze damage in colder areas.
