Del Rio, trademarked as Pryor, is a pure Mexican avocado widely regarded as the most cold-tolerant of all, its original Texas tree resprouting after being frozen back at 7 F. The small fruit has the richest flavor and highest oil content of the Mexican types. A prized choice for zone-pushing growers.
