Sentimental Blue

Sentimental Blue is a genetically dwarf F1 balloon flower from Sakata, with a mounded habit and strong branching from the base. Its inflated buds open into single, upward-facing blue bells about 3 inches across. Sakata describes early flowering, numerous buds and summer-long garden bloom, and markets it for bedding and pot production. The breeder notes that it can persist as a perennial in some areas; local overwintering performance should not be assumed from its use as a seasonal bedding crop.
