Ayers

Ayers is an extremely fire-blight-resistant pear released in the South in the 1970s, a Garber by Anjou hybrid nicknamed the sugar pear for its sweetness. The large yellow fruit with a red blush is smooth and buttery. With a very low chilling requirement, it is a favorite for warm-winter gardens.
