About NBRI-Nihar

NBRI-Nihar is a clonal Aloe vera selection released by CSIR-NBRI in Lucknow, India, in August 2023 for increased gel production. The official release announcement reports roughly 2.5 times the gel yield of the comparison Aloe vera material. It also reports less bacterial and fungal disease in field observations; these observations do not establish universal disease resistance or performance under other growing conditions.
